Abstract

Traditional music is a means of entertainment and sleep aid besides it can also be a means of increasing mushroom yields because of the biophysical and biochemical phenomena resulting from sound waves that produce vibrations that can increase the activity of mushroom cells and accelerate the movement of molecules in mushroom cells, the effect of sound also affects the environment. This study is an experimental study with the RAKL model (Complete Randomized Block Design), using the explant and sterilization methods, in this study there were two treatments, namely: control without music sound and music treatment 20-100 dB (decibels), a total of 5 treatments and 1 control, the parameters measured were the growth time interval, measurement of oyster mushroom weight and measurement of environmental factors, the results of the measurement parameters were analyzed using the BNT test to see the difference in treatment power with the control. Based on the results of the study, traditional Javanese music can accelerate the time interval of mycelium propagation, Pinhead formation and formation of oyster mushroom fruit bodies Pleurotus ostreatus.
